Biotin and gelatine for hair loss – Is it enough?

Is biotin combined with gelatine a good duet counteracting hair loss and accelerating hair growth. I wasn’t so sure about this but my story confirms all the theories concerning the impact both substances have on hair condition.

Where my problems with hair did come from?

Believe it or not but hair loses moisturisation and gets more and more dull day after day. The changes are slow which makes us realise the extent of damage when it is really visible. What is the worst about this? It’s that we are the only ones to blame for the deterioration of our hair. We dye, use a flat iron, light the hair up more often than we should. In my case, the hair started falling out excessively after me experimenting with the colour. I used to find my hair literally everywhere, in outlet of my bath, on my clothing, on a brush… it was terrible!

How to solve the problem of excessive hair loss?

I was looking for help in drug stores, pharmacies, professional blogs devoted to hair care and of course I was asking around my friends to learn their opinion about the issue. I was collecting data from everywhere to find out what helps slow down excessive hair loss. My own private investigation revealed that all the diet supplements, conditioning cosmetics and medications which contain these two substances serve hair right. What does weakened hair need beside these two ingredients?

What ingredients to look for while buying an anti-hair loss product?

Frequently, horsetail, nettle and similar herbal extracts are mentioned while discussing this subject. Certainly, these substances are effective and have their positive impact on hair condition. However, the best method to strengthen hair is biotin and gelatine. This is a duet for special missions which unique combination is really effective and confirmed by me.

  • BIOTIN is a vitamin that belongs to group B; it’s sometimes called the Vitamin of Beauty. It’s necessary for hair and nails because it contains sulphur. And this element builds so-called sulphur bridges, which is one of the hair’s building blocks. Also, biotin is a very unstable substance and, this is why, we often suffer from the shortage of it. And this is where baldness and brittleness come from.
  • GELATINE is a combination of proteins and peptides. Drinking food gelatine and so-called hair lamination procedure used to be very popular among hair-maniacs (I’ve never tested this). However, as far as I’m concerned, the most beneficial is use of hydrolysate. It is absorbed in a more effective way and reinforces hair better, makes strands thicker and adds shine. Furthermore, it limits hair loss and delays ageing processes which can take place in keratin cells of hair.
