Discolouration-free skin? Home remedies for fair skin

Hello Girls!

Fair and highlighted complexion takes years off. However, what should be done if our face features a few blemishes caused by the summer sun? There are various creams and preparations that deal with this issue, that’s obvious. Nevertheless, I want to show you a few tested and tried home remedies thanks to which you will say goodbye to all the discolorations your face happens to house.

  • Cucumber. I guess it’s the most popular method of lightening skin up. A fresh cucumber contains vitamin E and loads of water. Here is a recipe of a cucumber face mask. Take this green vegetable, peel it and remove the seeds. Then, use a blender to make a cucumber pulp. Now, apply this mashed cucumber to your face skin and rinse it off after 20 minutes. The effect is almost immediate – fresh, fair and moisturised skin.
  • Parsley. Chop washed parsley and put it into a clean jar. Cover it with cold water and put into a fridge. Strain the parsley after 12 hours; pour the infusion into a convenient bottle. You can store this parsley water in a fridge for maximally 2 weeks. If you add a few drops of lemon to your homemade parsley water, you will intensify its lightening-up features. Another way of using fresh parsley is a face mask made from chopped leaves, yoghurt and a few drops of lemon.
  • Lemon. It contains fruity acids that are known for lightening up all skin discolorations. What’s important to realize, lemon can irritate skin, therefore, if your skin is super sensitive, it would be better if you water the juice and apply the mixture topically. Here is a lemon face mask I can recommend. Mix honey, lemon juice and olive oil. Apply it to the face and rinse after 10 minutes.
  • Aloe. It nourishes, moisturises and, of course, is able to lighten skin up. You can go for a readymade aloe gel or apply the flesh of the plant, if you happen to get one. It has to be rinsed after 30 minutes with lukewarm water. Personally, this is my favourite mask because aloe leaves my skin smooth and moisturised.
  • Milk and yoghurt, kefir, buttermilk. One of the oldest ‘cosmetics’ used for body care. Lactic acid makes skin significantly softer. Moreover, it has lightening up features. The easiest way of making your discolorations lighter is by soaking tissues with fat milk, apply them to face and leave on face until they dry out.

Do you know any other home ways of dealing with skin discolorations? I’m waiting for your recipes 🙂
