Essential Oils I Recommend for Acne-Prone Skincare

Hi, there!

I’ve discovered the power of essential oils in acne skin care recently. Green tea, peppermint, ylang-ylang, rose and many others can really work wonders. If you’re also bothered by pimples and oily skin, try these products out. I recommend them and hope you’ll read on!

GREEN TEA

It does away with acne in a flash. Moreover, green tea controls the work of sebum glands so it prevents shiny T zone. Green tea essential oil can be applied directly to the facial skin. You’re about to see mind-blowing effects after just several days – smooth skin and alleviated blemishes.

PEPPERMINT

An effective and cheap product for healthy and beautiful skin? Peppermint essential oil! The plant soothes irritations, cools the skin and increases blood flow. Consequently, ingredients of other cosmetics absorb faster, your skin is smoother and radiant. Thanks to peppermint, skin pores are clean and closed.

YLANG-YLANG

It ensures freshness and soothes irritations. Ylang-ylang essential oil works for both dry and oily skin. Interestingly, ylang-ylang stimulates hair growth and nourishes the scalp. You might have heard that the plant is used in fragrances so you’ll both condition and perfume your facial skin.

ROSE

This essential oil delivers amazing freshness and illumination. Use it every morning to see such results. What’s more, rose restores natural pH, tones and nourishes acne-prone skin. If you enrich it with lemon oil, the effect of brightened skin will be intensified. Worth testing!

BEFORE USING ESSENTIAL OILS

  • Check their density. Some of them have a very rich consistency so the application can be problematic. Add some water or a runny oil to change their formula.
  • Do a quick test. Mix a few drops of the chosen essential oil with olive oil. Apply to skin that’s the least visible e.g. neck or belly. If you don’t see any redness after 24h, feel free to try the oil out.
