What’s new in the world of haircuts? Massive amounts of colour, either geometric or floral references and very extravagant stylisations. If you like having a garden full of flowers on your head, read my entry!
I love browsing the net looking for hair colour and haircut trends. Although I have to admit that I wouldn’t rather go for changing my beautiful natural hair colour, I really like looking at the images of hair trends. All I can agree to is getting my hair lightened up a little bit by delicate reflexes or sombre. Despite me not being a big fan of hair colouring, my friends consider me as a great advisor in this case. Probably because I’m up-to-date with all the current trends on Instagram, for example.
One of the recent Instagram trends is:
FLOWERS CARVED ON HAIR
Of course, it’s about the artistic approach to the hairdressing and sculpting with chunking shears or precise hairdresser’s scissors, not a chisel. As far as I’m concerned, colourful hair has been ruling in the world of fashion and celebrities for a few seasons now, rarely is it combined with precise haircut. Quite a surprise for me was when I learnt that the combination of multicolour hair dyeing with hair cutting can produce such original effect. What’s important, such three dimensional haircut can’t be obtained only due to colouring or cutting. In this case, both procedures go hand in hand and deliver profound effects only if mixed.
How does it look like?
I have to start with saying that such a haircut suits short hair only; it’s easier to ‘carve’ various types of patterns. Moreover, it’s better when the hair is fair because it’s easier to give it a vivid colour (yellow, red, blue). Anyway, it’s not just a regular ‘hair carving’. The outcome is marvellous because the patterns resembling flowers, geometric shapes or hearts are covered with rainbow colours.
The good news is that the effect can be either permanent or last relatively short since it depends on the dyes we use for the procedure. If you are brave enough, you can dye selected strands. Of course, it this way the effect will remain until the hair grows out. However, if we want to get crazy just for one party, you can ask a hairdresser to cut only delicate patterns and use temporary colour hair sprays. Thanks to this, the vivid colours will be washed down at the first shampooing.
