Hello Girls!
Do you like natural oils? I assume that many of you apply oils to their hair and have their own oil, or an oil blend matching hair porosity. Do you use the same oils for face care? It could be a serious mistake. Let me explain it in detail: skin care oil cannot be random! They must match the skin and be the answer to its age and needs. In today’s post, I tell you how to choose the right ones! Let’s get started.
Why is it worth using oils in skin care?
Natural oils are quite unusual substances – they are the essence of a plant they derive from. Oils can be extracted from seeds, nuts, sprouts or shoots – those parts in which precious plant ingredients accumulate to the maximum. It’s like a concentrated serum rich in a number of good fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, phytosterols, flavonoids, polyphenols, active substances that have a positive influence on the skin, regulate its work, rejuvenate and protect against damage, smog, toxins, radiation. Essential oils not only work well for dry skin. There are groups of oils that are ideal for the care of oily, combination and acne-prone skin. The key is to choose the right one.
Conditioning and beautifying properties of natural oils – things worth remembering
- oils soften the skin and improve its elasticity thanks to the content of valuable omega fatty acids;
- they provide the building material necessary for the hydro-lipid barrier of the epidermis;
- they protect against water loss – they are treated in cosmetology as substances with moisturizing properties;
- manage the work of sebaceous glands;
- each oil contains additional, valuable active ingredients; they provide antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, qualities as well as soothing, anti-wrinkle, etc. – it all depends on the type of oil.
How to match oil with the skin type?
Before I tell you what oils suit particular types of skin, it’s worth remembering that if you want the oil (any!) to preserve its care properties, that is: retain all valuable ingredients, vitamins, minerals, etc. – it must be unrefined and cold-pressed. Otherwise nothing will come out of all care, and in addition, you could harm the skin. Therefore, do not steal sunflower or rapeseed oil from the kitchen. Shop for oils in organic stores with natural cosmetics and food.
What oils suit dry skin?

What oils suit acne, combination and oily skin?
These are oils that contain a high concentration of squalane – it is a component of human sebum, which balances the work of sebaceous glands. They are usually light oils often called “dry” oils. They absorb well, do not leave an oily layer on the skin and have antiseptic and antibacterial properties, so they can treat acne.
- Tamanu oil,
- chia seed oil,
- neem oil,
- jojoba oil,

How to use natural plant oils and butter?
The best way is to apply them before the face cream, to damp skin (this way, they will be absorbed better and give a less greasy, heavy finish). Moist skin will increase the effectiveness of oils. You can moisten it with water or a selected face hydrolat or a herbal infusion (chamomile, lemon balm, nettle, horsetail).
Oils can also be added to face creams or mixed with gel products (linseed, aloe gel, hyaluronic acid). You do not have to use only one essential oil – you can combine them and create your own oil serum for your face. Remember to make reasonable combinations of natural oils.
The drugstores also offer special oil-based preparations that are tailored to the type of complexion. Choose those that have a good composition that lacks heavy silicones, parabens, alcohol. Enjoy!<3
