Hello Girls!
Does it also happen to you that your lip make-up vanishes as the first one? Or that a lipstick moves outside the lip contour in a flash? It happened to me all the time. Ok, it was partly my fault because I keep touching my lips frequently, I drink a lot of mineral water, etc. Therefore, I decided to find out what I could do to help my lipstick stay in its place for a little bit longer. Here are my findings.
- Lips must be constantly moisturised and smooth. Even the best lipstick won’t stay long on dehydrated lips with dry skin patches. Therefore, once a week, it’s a good idea to do lip scrub. We can buy a readymade one or make it ourselves. Just honey, coconut oil and sugar is all you need to prepare your DIY lip scrub. Once you collect all the ingredients, mix them thoroughly; basically, you may crush the sugar slightly. Now, you can apply the mixture to the lips and delicately massage it into them. Then, rinse the residues of the cosmetic with warm water. Also, you should remember to treat your lips with a small quantity of honey or a protective lip balm every evening. Definitely, this will replenish your lips with water appropriately. In general, you shouldn’t refrain from using lip balms frequently during winter. In the summer, in turn, I suggest you to reach for lip balms featuring UV filter.
- Lipstick primer. Obviously, you can find a lot of such products at drugstores’. It’s worth realizing that instead of the dedicated product, you can use a foundation or concealer you normally apply to the face. Just put on a thin layer of either the product and then apply your favourite lipstick using a brush.
- Lip liner. To me, it’s an absolutely indispensable cosmetic. The reason why I find this cosmetic essential isn’t only about it enabling me to optically make my lips bigger, correct their shape or improve symmetry. I use lip pencil to prevent lipstick from going over the line of lips. After applying a foundation or a primer, start outlining the lip contour. Then, fill the outline with a lipstick. Last piece of advice here, I suggest you to use a tiny brush so it will be easier to apply a lipstick evenly.
- Powder. Apply the first layer of a lipstick, press the excess of the cosmetic against a tissue and delicately dust the lips with a transparent powder. Now it’s time for the second layer. If you care for receiving matte finish, go for applying a wee bit of powder. However, if you want to obtain shiny effect, fix the lips with a lip gloss.
- Fixer. As the last step, you can spray your lips with a make-up fixer and you’re ready to go! 🙂
Tell me whether these tricks work for you. Perhaps you have your own methods of fixing makeup? I’m eager to learn them. 🙂
