Cavitation peeling. What does it depend on and how does it affect my skin?

Hello Girls!

Skin cleansing is the very core of care. My skin type is sensitive therefore manual cleansing or acid peeling aren’t advisable for me. For that reason, one of the beautifying treatments that I regularly undergo is cavitation peeling.

What does cavitation peeling depend on?

In plain English, cavitation is a process of transition from liquid phase to gaseous phase. It occurs when liquid is exposed to alternating pressure. In this case, it happens when damp skin is in contact with ultrasound waves. For that reason, skin must be kept constantly wet. In short, the treatment depends on breaking up soild cells with the use of ultrasounds; the bubbles of gases burst and rip off dead epidermis cells. Thanks to this, skin becomes cleansed from the excess of sebum as well as from dead epidermis cells. The vibrations improve blood and lymph flow therefore skin is supplied with oxygen better and it becomes easier for skin to rebuild itself.

How does the treatment look like?

As any other beautifying treatment, cavitation peeling begins with cleansing face skin from make-up cosmetics residues. In my case, a beautician applies a delicate, fine grained peeling once she finishes with wiping off all the cosmetics from my face. After that, she moistens my skin with water or alcohol-free tonic and starts running an ultrasound emitting device on my face (the device features a special spatula). The entire procedure lasts more or less 30 minutes.

The treatment itself is fairly pleasant, almost relaxing, at least to me. The sensation that accompanies the procedure is very pleasant although it sometime tickles 😉

This kind of peeling makes skin well-prepared for other treatments with beautifying cosmetics. Basically, the moment the procedure is over, it is suggested undergoing sonophoresis, which is inserting cosmetics deep into skin by using ultrasounds as well.

Cavitation peeling – effects

Of course the most visible effects are produced after undergoing the entire set of treatments, however, some improvements in the look of skin can be noticed after the first treatment. My skin remains reddened for a few hours after the procedure, therefore I always arrange the meeting at the beautician so as not to have any other things to do after the treatment.

When the redness fades away, skin becomes lighter and definitely smoother. It is well-cleansed and fresh. Blackheads are less visible. Moreover, skin is well-moisturised because the treatment handles hydration as well.

Cavitation peeling is a perfect treatment for all the allergy sufferers. No substances that might trigger irritations are used for the procedure. The only thing used is water and its physical qualities. The worth mentioning issue is that this treatment can be applied to all skin types.

Have I managed to talk you into undergoing this treatment? Or perhaps you have been using cavitation peeling for long? I’m waiting for your comments 🙂
