Discolorations are my nightmare that I just can’t get rid of. I fight with them using various methods but, unfortunately, I haven’t managed to find the way yet that leads to the permanent improvements. I mean, when I finally succeed in removing the mark or a spot, they come back after a week or two with an intensified power. I bet, many girls will understand me because, as far as I’m concerned, this is a common beauty problem.
What are the causes of discolorations?
Most frequently they appear as a consequence of over-exposition of the skin to the action of solar radiation. I was mentioning about this many times in my previous entries that UV radiation isn’t safe for us. Instead of fighting with discolorations, it’s better to act prophylactically, which is an effective solar protection. Actually, the more suitable UV filter is, the less possible it would be for our skin to become discoloured.
Nevertheless, if discolorations appear on our face despite our determined attempts of counteracting them, you can turn to homemade ways of highlighting the discolorations. They aren’t costly and from my own experience I can tell you that they work miracles.
DIY face masks of discolouration highlighting features
Grab the fresh recipes for homemade face masks that will help you remove the discolorations from your face, at least to some extent. There is just one condition that has to prevail, namely, if you decide to use the face masks, you need to be persistent in this and apply the face masks regularly, at least 2-3 times per week. You don’t have to stick to just one face mask, you can apply them in alternating series.
Homemade face masks from orange and yoghurt
orange peel + yoghurt = highlighting and cleansing
We need to take a peel of one ripe orange and grate it using the fine eyes. Mix the grated orange peel with a spoon of a cup of dense natural yoghurt. Apply this pulp onto your face and let it sit 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
Homemade honey face masks for discolourations
honey + milk + lemon juice = moisturisation and even skin tone
Prepare 1 spoonful of natural honey, for example multiflora, and mix it with 1 spoon of milk and 1 spoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Mix the ingredients and apply to your face. Rinse with lukewarm water after approximately 15 minutes.
Homemade fennel face mask
infused fennel + buttermilk = no discolouration
Cover a teaspoon of fennel, or to be more precise its grinded seeds with 250 ml of boiling water. After approximately an hour, strain the infusion and mix it with a teaspoon of buttermilk. Apply such a facemask to your face. Let it sit 20 minutes and rinse afterwards.
