I don’t know where the assumption about seasonal nail care came from. There is nothing more wrong than this! The gentle and constantly subjected to harmful factors nail plate must be nourished and strengthened on the regular basis to prevent breakage, brittleness and split. All year long, no matter the month, temperature and everything else.
Have you ever wonder how should you take care of nails in the summer? You should never limit the nail care to file and cut. Today, I’d like to tell what you should use and do so that your nails look flawless on the holiday trip.
Well-taken care if hands are the showcase of every woman. In the summer, hands need a rest just like you, that is why you should protect nail plate against harmful external factors — solar radiation, salty or chlorinated water.
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF NAILS IN THE SUMMER?
Fingernails need mostly hydration which can be provided by a simple hand bath. How to do it? The recipe for healthy nails is simple. You will need two ingredients, which are pretty affordable:
- half a glass of warm water,
- 4 tea spoons of sweet almond oil.
Mix ingredients and at the same time enjoy the relaxation resulting from the stunning almond oil scent (personally I’m in love with it <3). Dip hands in the mixture for 15 minutes. After this time, towel dry hands and protect them with your favourite hand cream. The bath is done!
However, the bath in almond oil alone is not sufficient. I do not say that nail oiling (almond oil, argan oil, avocado oil and any other) is ineffective. I’m just saying that not applying to certain rules will result in damage to the nail plate and no oil will help with it. Here are most important rules of nail care:
- Switch your nail remover with acetone to such with lanolin.
- On regular basis ingest calcium with your food or as a dietary supplement.
- Drink carrot juice and eat a lot of fresh vegetables.
- Rub nails and cuticles with ampoules containing omega-3 and omega-6.
- Use nail conditioner on regular basis — DIY or finished product.
