Hello girls!
Although more and more good and natural face cosmetics are launched daily, many of us still have problems with complexion. What else can we do to help our skin look healthy? What to avoid?
- Makeup Removal. One of the worst things we can do to our skin is going to sleep wearing all the colour cosmetics on the face. Even makeup residues may negatively affect our skin. It’s worth bearing in mind that the parts of foundation, lipstick or mascara clog skin pores. Moreover, inappropriately removed makeup can encourage bacterial infection and acne. Therefore, if want to avoid such adverse reactions that colour cosmetics deliver if worn too long, keep removing makeup at bedtime thoroughly.
- Sleep. I’m sure it happened to you more than once that you put an all-nighter. For example, you had to study for an exam, you were partying until the small hours, or you just had to watch the entire TV show. Can you bring to your mind the appearance of your skin after such No Sleep Marathon? It looked like a nightmare, didn’t it? Therefore, 8 hours is just the right dose of sleep. During this time our skin has time to activate all self-renewal processes. I know, 8-hour sleep, easier said than done. Apart from our work, each of us has thousands of duties on the shoulders. However, just take a while and think how much time we waste on scrolling Facebook, watching TV, etc. It’s worth doing something positive for ourselves and devote this time to sleep.
- Coffee. Definitely, many of you can’t image starting a day without drinking a cup of delicious latte or a shot of espresso. If it is just one cup a day, it’s not that bad. However, it’s worth pointing out that coffee contributes to dehydrating our organism, which can basically be easily noticed on our skin. Therefore, sometimes it would be better to replace coffee with lemon or lime water, or good green tea. Maintaining hydration of our skin by delivering water to our body is essential therefore drinking fresh water every day is important.
- Balanced Diet. Irregularly consumed dishes or deliberate starving accelerate skin ageing processes. Moreover, diet that consists of highly processes food and hot spices may cause problems with skin; breakouts, oily skin, to name just a few. Hence, if you manage to exchange crisps/chips into fresh vegetables and fruit, you will notice a significant improvement in the look of your skin fairly fast.
- Stress. Triviality, however, among all the points discussed in the entry, this one in particular is the hardest to execute. Let’s try to slow down and focus on what we truly need. Surely, you can devote 10 minutes a day to do some basic relaxing exercises. Also, some breathing exercises can be done at work.
I know that radical changes introduced into our well-developed habits don’t belong to the things that we do wearing a wide smile on the faces. Nevertheless, try to do it, yet slowly so as to make it easier. Believe me, your skin will be grateful 🙂
