The Ordinary Buffet, that is Menu featuring the Best Ingredients for Aging Skin

Are you aware that peptides are necessary for the skin and should make up one of the most important elements of your anti-wrinkle routine?

I’ve discovered their power only recently. In the past, I didn’t use to know about their existence… I decided to catch up and today I am able to share my observations on how peptides work and why we need them.

Peptides – what are they actually?

Let’s start by stating that the skin changes all the time. Not just due to various outside factors but also simply with the passage of time. There’s nothing wrong about it as long as peptides guard your good looks! What are they and how do they work?

Simply put, peptides are small intensively bio-active amino acids. They aim at restoring the balance in skin and enhancing the natural production of proteins. The proteins that are essential for skin, that is collagen and elastin.

Briefly about the benefits of peptides

I’m aware that these terms and details might be quite difficult but you should know why peptides are so crucial. We should seek them in skin products because they are the smallest of all active amino acids – they are so tiny that they penetrate external skin layers getting into deeper structures. That’s why peptides are cool! 🙂

Peptide-infused cosmetics

The Ordinary knows about that and has launched peptide skin care line. You will get something for your hair and skin. You must know that cosmetics with peptides are essential especially for mature skin which loses firmness, gets discolored and simply ages.

I chose The Ordinary Buffet Serum and devote today’s article to this very product. What is it actually?

Buffet for your skin, that is The Ordinary Serum

Full name: The Ordinary Buffet Multi-Technology Peptide Serum

This simply-looking serum packaged in a glass milk-color bottle with a simple label and white pipette doesn’t look like a treatment which would revolutionize my skin care. Surprisingly, it houses lots of ingredients that the skin can ‘eat’.

  • Matrixyl 3000 peptide complex
  • Matrixyl Synthe’6 peptide complex
  • Syn-Ake peptide complex
  • Relistase peptide complex
  • Argirelox peptide complex
  • and hyaluronic acid, glycerin, alanine, aspartic acid, allantoin and many others. Quite a lot, right?

I think such great concentration of ingredients is really cool. I know that the thing I apply to my face is effective and I can fully trust the power of the cosmetic. On the other hand, I know the skin of some of you may react with a serious irritation to such huge doses of strongly-working substances. It is an individual matter.

What is The Ordinary Buffet Serum effect?

I believe it is one of the best facial serums I’ve had so far, unless there’s a marvelous product somewhere and I don’t know it yet. For the time being, The Ordinary Buffet Multi-Technology Peptide Serum is on the top of the list of the products I’ve tested.

The brand promises that the serum:

  • has a tightening effect;
  • reduces first signs of aging;
  • keeps sufficient moisture level;
  • improves skin repair abilities;
  • shields from external aggressors;
  • enhances the general appearance and health of skin.

One daily application to perfectly cleaned skin is all it takes. Before applying next products, it is good to wait for a moment + it is inadvisable to use the serum together with other products containing acids or vitamin C.

The Ordinary Facial Serum – real results & my opinion

Actually, I spotted the positive effects after the very first use. It was a nice surprise because I thought I’d have to wait longer to see improvement. Moisture boost and smoothness where the first to appear – it felt like my skin was covered with an invisible velvet-like layer which felt so smooth and nice. After seven days or so my skin got firmer and looked much more radiant.

I’m sure I’ll keep using the serum. I’ll wait for the first face lines and check how The Ordinary “Buffet” deals with them… or actually I might not even spot them – after all, the serum is supposed to keep wrinkles at bay! I’ll let you know soon 🙂
